I have to know what Palmstone is.
« on: February 16, 2012, 02:31:11 PM »
I've never seen it or heard it mentioned but I saw it in the guide. Is it a metal or gem?

It is a gem.  Priced between 300 and 500, available if you have [Ambitions] installed.

Really, I have Ambitions but I've never seen it.

It is translated as "Fluorite" in English. :)

Yes, the guide here calls it Flourite Palmstone, but the two gems are one in the same.  The best chance I have seen of finding it has been when sculpting with stone and the stone breaks durring sculpting, revealing a random gem or metal.  Of course, this only happens if your sim does not have the savy sculptor trait, as the trait prevents your sims from breaking the statue.  You can also find it while rummaging through the trash, breaking space rocks, and with the minner.

I'd never heard of Palmstone, but I know Flourite.  It's a multi-colored opaque gem when it's cut.
