Dirty Simbot?
« on: June 04, 2011, 05:45:18 PM »
Anyone have problems with a dirty simbot since the addition of generations?  Just today my simbot is dirty and autonomously used a shower in a can and of course shorted out...  The only thing I can think of is that he drank a stink potion when I wasn't paying attention to him because he is my potion maker.  Just checking to see if anyone else has had an issue with them being dirty.  I just thought of the potion thing, and I have already shut my game down, so I can't go see if he still has one in his inventory because I have to get ready for work =[

Ok, so I loaded the game up this morning quickly before bed, just to look, and the stink potion is still in his inventory, however his hygiene was still degrading.  So I took the potion out of his personal inventory and put in the family inventory and guess what, it stopped.  So I guess just having the potion in their inventories makes them get dirty, lesson learned!

Hi KimC and welcome to the forum.  That was a good lesson to learn, but sorry you had to learn it the hard way.  I think the same thing would happen to a Sim too and I am going to have to keep an eye out for that.

Can you imagine creating a Stink Potion and giving it as a gift to your parents?  I would how long one would be grounded  ;D

So, my simbot is dirty again with no stink potion in the inventory.  I'm thinking this may be a bug with generations.  Anyone else playing with a simbot right now?

I'm moving this to the Miscellaneous Help board.  It's not directly related to the Generations expansion pack.

It's not directly related to the Generations expansion pack.

I beg to differ, I think it is.  I've been playing with this simbot for 4 generations prior to installing Generations and have had no problem.  So since only people that have Generations installed would have this problem, I thought that would be the appropriate place.

It may or may not be caused by Generations, hence I believe the Miscellaneous Help board will serve you better.  I see no reason to argue about it.

My SimBot got the same problem while running on the Treadmills. I have tried "resetsim", "testingcheatsenabled" (adjust the hygiene bar manually), riding on the "Motive Mobile" and even going to spa but all didn't help.
Now I realize playing the Sims 3 on Mac is playing the game of installation and uninstallation...
