Can I place houses from France, Egypt or China in Sunset Valley?

I was wondering if anyone knows a way to find the houses from the different destinations i WA and place them in Sunset Valley? For example, I found this really pretty house in France, and I want to place it Sunset Valley and move my sims in there.

When my sim was in Champ le Sims, I tried editing the town and copying the house that way. However, my computer froze and now I'm afraid that option doesn't work - at least not for me. Is there any other way to find and download the houses?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, you should be able to save foreign houses and place them in Sunset Valley   . Keep in mind though that some houses, like the Chateau du Langraab, are actually tombs that require cheats to unlock them for editing.

I tried starting a new game and travel with a brand new sim to France, and saved all the houses I liked in edit town - and this time it worked! I think my original game file is probably too large and that's why the game would freeze every time I tried edit town in France before.

When world adventures just come out I did it. But my sim could not use his laptop! Will you tell me if it s fixed now? France have such cute houses.

I know, the houses are adorable!

Do you mean you couldn't use your laptop in the french houses, or what was the problem, I don't understand exactly

The option to use the laptop was greyed out. Can't remember the exact words now lol. But it is the same as when you try and use the laptop and there is no place to put it. But in the french houses there was a desk.

OK, that's odd! I haven't placed any of the french houses in SV yet, but will let you know as soon as I have and tried with a lap top!

I've saved homes from all the destinations  (France, China and Egypt) and at different times placed them in SV, BB,  Twinbrook and Riverview.  I've never had a problem with any of them.

No problem.  When I've been in a hurry to start a story I've also saved businesses to transplant. I had the market from China and the bookstore from France. I was hoping for the ability to buy foreign items at home, but no luck. It was a local  Sim at the cash register and it was domestic items. It did change those businesses from Rabbit holes to walk in, which I liked.
