How to raise foal jumping skill?
« on: January 12, 2012, 05:02:30 PM »
My foal just grew up and he has a racing skill of nine! (a big relief for now I only have to train jumping) I had him gallop around a lot when he was a foal. Is there any way to raise a foal's jumping skill?

Not that I know of - I know foals can't use the Cavaletti, and I don't think there's any other way for an adult horse to learn the skill either.

Foals can gain skill based on their parents.  If the mother had a high racing/jumping skill the foal may get it as well.  I don't believe you running the foal around did anything towards training, it was genetics.

You train racing skill by running around or on a racing track and jumping skill with cavaletti's (then later jumps) but only as adult horses.  Foals can learn things like being obedient, or fast, etc.  So "traits" not "skill points"
