Dogs won't leave?

I have the xbox version. I made the mistake (I guess?) Of inviting a dog into my house to give him a bath. Now he just comes over whenever he wants and I can't get him to leave! It's bad enough these dogs come and dig holes in my yard constantly.... any help?

I don't know how different the xbox version is, but in the PC version you have the option to lock your doors to pets. Do you have that choice if you click on your door?

Unfortunately not. I thought building a fence with a gate might help.... negative.
