Toddlers Left at Day Care for Three Days

My Sim, the caregiver, received two toddlers one morning, but at the end of the day, the parents never showed up to pick the babies up. The next three days are my Sim's holidays (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), so now the toddlers have been at my place for almost 3 days! It's Sunday now. Will the parents come and take their kids tomorrow on the work day or what?
(By the way I have tried resetSim and it did not work!)

This happened to me a week or 2 ago.

I changed active household to one where one of the toddlers lived made sure they had the toddler back home then changed active household back to my daycare person and all toddlers were gone.
But if some are still there go to their households too and do the same.

Have you updated to latest patch? I am hoping that maybe something that stops this from happening in future But I haven't played that game for a bit so dont know.

Oh, that would take time and effort! But OK if that's the only solution.

I wouldn't take that long.
But the work I put into my sims house and daycare profession It is worth that time, just to get it going again.

Of course you could save the household to the the library and open up a new game and move in.
