Issues with the Gallery?

I greatly apologize if this is the inappropriate forum, for, as you can probably tell, I am new here.
I'm trying to create my very own legacy on the forums, but first, of course, I needed to upload pictures.
I attempted to use the gallery, but whenever I make a new album it disappears, or doesn't function. At all.
Also, I can't even figure out how to even upload pictures at all.
Maybe it's my fault, but I can't find a help page for the Gallery anywhere to fix the problem myself.
A link to a help page would aid me greatly, I'm sure.
