sims 3 pets - cop cant question

my sim is a cop in pets for ps3 and i am suppose to question other sims around town but every time i try they all say its too boring and walk away. any suggestions

Perhaps become better friends with them and try again?

And yes, Sportsfan is right. I'm pretty sure you have to have a least a little bit of a relationship with the person before you can question them. I always used other family members because they usually had a good relationship.
