Could Lunar Lakes be Charon?

What do you think?

Charon is the name of Pluto's moon.  Here is a snippet from Wikipedia (keep in mind that the science facility in Lunar Lakes has a crashed space vessel, and that there is a boat crossing through it near the top):

In Greek mythology, Charon or Kharon is the ferryman of Hades who carries souls of the newly deceased across the rivers Styx and Acheron that divided the world of the living from the world of the dead. A coin to pay Charon for passage, usually an obolus or danake, was sometimes placed in or on the mouth of a dead person.  Some authors say that those who could not pay the fee, or those whose bodies were left unburied, had to wander the shores for one hundred years. In the catabasis mytheme, heroes — such as Heracles, Orpheus, Aeneas, Dionysus and Psyche — journey to the underworld and return, still alive, conveyed by the boat of Charon.

There is more to read in this article and in others and some very interesting images are found doing a Google search.  If Lunar (moon) Lakes is Charon, then the 'moon' that we see rising would be Pluto.  They are nearly the same size so that could explain why the 'moon' looks so big when it's rising in L.L.

This just hit me from out of the blue...weird because that doesn't happen often with me.

 :)

Hi lindali365.

I appreciate that you're trying to start a discussion, but this doesn't really qualify as a Sims 3 topic in my opinion.  No harm done, just be careful that a discussion is actually about the game.  :)
