Game Launcher Error
« on: November 05, 2011, 10:58:16 AM »
Hi!
My Sims 3 base game isn't working and this all seemed to occur after I updated to patch 1.26.
It's been going on for at least a month with no avail of help from anyone.
I'd really appreciate any help that's offered.
This all occurred after I tried downloading ambitions then I uninstalled it from so many issues.
Then I went back to playing my base game (after numerus uninstallations and reinstalling. ) since then it's been a really big issue.
I just want to play my Sims game in peace.  :-\
Thanks!

Does this help?
http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/forum/index.php?topic=1186.0
Sadly No  :-\
I've tried that method and a few others.
Still no progress
EDIT: So I tried that (doing the TS3 stuff without the launcher yet again) and I get results from that.
The message says:
Unable to start the game
Service initialization failed (0x0175dcbb)

Do you use any mods or custom content?  If you do, it might be a good idea to get rid of all of it and start over with a brand new game.  Do a complete reinstall with no new saves/sims/worlds.  If it doesn't give you issues then you can slowly start adding stuff back in.

Also what type of computer do you have?

I have no mods, but I do have CC content. and I don't have any worlds except the original.

I also have Windows 7.

Edit: I did that and didn't have anything on my system with the custom content etc. Nothing else installed except the game and the installed patch.
Still not working =/

Hello KanariAozora, and welcome to the forum. :)

Now, the "Service Initialization Failed" message should be cured by using instructions found in this thread.

I saw someone else with Service Initialization Failed recently and that topic's been in my memory since then.
