Uninstalling CaW?
« on: November 14, 2011, 01:30:25 AM »
A few hours ago, I decided to make a new world, based on a name. But before I can do much, CaW needs to be updated. To do that, I have to uninstall and reinstall.

Is uninstalling CaW like Uninstalling TS3? Do I just go into add/remove programs and uninstall (after backing up my saves, which I did when I patched up)? And since I'm already patched to 1.26, when I redownload, I just download that .exe and run it, nothing else?

Sorry for the basic last question, but I haven't installed CaW since early August, and my memory is horrible.

Seabody, you can uninstall it if you doubleclick CAW.exe, with add/remove tool, Revo uninstaller or other similar application, or even from start menu -> Electronic Arts -> Create a World -> Uninstall. You should save all folders you have or at least User tool (it can mess up patterns you used for terrain painting, custom roads etc), and make shore to backup several versions of your previous world(sa) - but you can also chose to not remove all the files while uninstalling, just like with the game (but backing up is good choice anyway).
Good Luck!
