I did that very thing, Saltypaws, and had a lot of success. I got about $11,000 in tips alone that way. I've also added a bunch of people to Riverview to help populate the town and that helps a lot. My Riverview is more like Sunset Valley now.

I find even after they retire, they can do the same thing for money, although watching an elderly rock star doesnt do a thing for me, lol.......it is fun though, but I guess people watching dont know they are elderly, so doesnt matter.
