Self-Employed Fisherman
« on: October 28, 2011, 07:41:28 AM »
Ahoy all  ;D

My question is can anyone tell me a complete list of how much money it takes to improve in each level of the Angler self-employed? I don't have the time to look, and I can't find a list anywhere on the guide  :)

I have no idea if the wiki info is accurate, so my apologies in advance if they are not —

Whoa, everyone says that gardening needs a crazy amount of money to max, but fishing needs the same. That looks like it would take forever.

Fishing goes somewhat faster, though, because the individual fish sell for much more than the individual fruits and vegetables.

I keep all the fish that my child Sim catches in their inventory then I sell them once they get to teen and can enter the angler career. You may only have a few fish but it will push you up a couple of rungs of the ladder.

I have no been playing Sims3 for long, but my sims have topped the angler career twice, so it must be pretty easy. :) If you sell mostly robot fish and deathfish at the consignment store and have all the perks for selling there, even the last step/requirement can be fulfilled in just a couple of days.

I find the self-employed fisherman one of the easiest self-employed careers to level up.  They can usually catch 6 Deathfish a night at the graveyard, easily netting $30,000 or so at the Consignment Shop.  That's more than most of my sculptors can make in a full day of working, and it's more than most of my painters have made too.  Somewhere here there's a thread in which a player posted about making way more money than that with their Deathfish; I don't remember the numbers, but they were huge.
