Skill bar is not going up for race training
« on: October 28, 2011, 05:21:46 PM »
Is it happening to only my game? My horse's racing level has been still 0 for 7 hours training while my sim is gaining 1 level up on riding skill. Is there any other way to learn the racing skill except for just running around the training ground? Thank you.
Very hard to be escaped from Sims.

I solved this out myself. The skill bar never gained so tried to take part in the horse racing game for beginner for the first time.
My horse got 4 ranks and level 2 after the competition. Since that race, now his racing skill is working properly. =)

Sorry I didn't respond before you fixed your problem.

My horse got her first racing level before I had even put a saddle on her.  I was still building the relationship between her and my Sim (the horse is Ornery) and she got the level while she was exercising herself by galloping around.  I've been riding her around town and got another, but I haven't entered her in a race just yet because I'm having her practice jumping.  Although I may enter her now, just to see how she levels up.  ;)

I had this problem too. They don't level up when you set them to "practice racing" with the poles, only when they "gallop around" or are being ridden.
