Broken jockey LTW

So I have this couple, Emily and Jalinder, and Emily had the LTW to adopt a unicorn which I just achieved Yey. And Jalinder had the Jockey LTW, but it's becoming a pain in the butt to fulfil because the only thing that the game recognises as earning towards the LTW is prize money from races. I've sold three foals so far, each cashing in more than 10000 simoleons, and have used the stud surface enough that her horsewoman career says she has earned 47000 simoleons, but the LTW only recognises 15900. Help?

Have you tried selling horses not just foals?  Maybe the horses you need to sell have to be adults.

You can't sell the foals, it won't let you. I've been selling adult horses after I've grown them up from foals. I even tried selling a horse I bought from the centre and nothing, it sold for ten grand and none of it showed up on her LTW. It did on her career though. Is there anyway to force her LTW to fullfil? Because I have technically fulfilled it.

Nope. The money needed must come from competition prize money. I had earned over 1.5M overall by the time I got my Jockey LTW.

It's not broken; think about it ... Jockey LTW ... a jockey is a rider of horses, not a breeder of horses, not a seller of horses.

I love the equestrian professions/challenges because they are not easy. It really takes some time, dedication, and effort to achieve goals, which is very unlike the wham bam nature of all the other Sim professions.

Well now you see my confusion. The guide mentioned above clearly states that they bought trained and sold horses to make money for this LTW. Why is that not working for us?

The guide is incorrect. I'm sure tom will correct it soon. Remember, this is a very new expansion, the equestrian skills/challenges are more complicated than other tracks, and it's often easy to confuse requirements, especially when you may not have actually worked all the way through them first hand.

Yes, I did  get things mixed up — I've been hammering these guides out quickly and they all run together. With the Horseman career all the money counts — racing, sales, stud services, etc. But, with the Jockey LTW it is indeed different.

EDIT: I got the necessary edits to Carl  on the article. I'll go ahead and lock this thread as to not cause confusion given it was my bad and not the LTW that's broken.
