Households and Pets

I've been wondering, do Pets count as actual household members? I mean, are they considered in the maximum of 8 sims per household, or could you eventually have 8 sims and 8 pets live in the same house?

I guess I could just check myself but since my game has decided to sabotage itself and crash every 2 minutes that doesn't sound like a very good idea  ::).

The total number of household members you can have are 10, 8 sims and 2 pets. Of course you can mix and match in between, but the total with pets and sims will always have to be 10 and there can always only be up to 8 sims. Nothing like 9 sims and 1 dog sadly.

There's also a limit of 6 pets per household.  So, if you have 6 pets, you can only have 4 Sims because of the overall limit of 10.
