Patching after installing Ambitions

First off, I have read the sticky of the thread about installing ambitions, I'm not sure if my problem relates and if it does, then I may have to do what Pam had stated there. However I'm still confused.

On this laptop I've installed Sims 3 and directly after installed Ambitions. I did patch it to where it needed to be patched for Ambitions. However the updates from Late Night (such as adjusting bust size) hadn't been patched on since, obviously, it came out after Ambitions. On my normal computer, after the crash which meant I lost everything, I downloaded Sims 3, was sure to patch that fully, then installed Ambitions afterwards. The game is up to date on that, meaning I have the option to mess with bust size and the like, that I don't have the option to do with the laptop.

Is there any way I can fix that? The launcher doesn't say there are any updates to the game even though there definitely is a patch I'm missing. Do I have to do the same thing in the sticky and copy the saved files somewhere else, then reinstall the entire thing?

What patch are you on? 1.26 is the newest.

I'm not sure which patch I'm on for the base game. I know it patched to wherever Ambitions needed to be to continue but anything further on after that has not been added on. The game is in version 4.0.87.006001, if it means anything.

Okay, I'll go and read that post, thanks! Another silly question though, since it's patch 1.26 will it still add on the other patch stuff, for example adding  tattoos if you didn't have ambitions or adjusting bust size?

Yes it's a cumulative patch.
