Gallery help please

I'm sure there must be a guide somewhere, but I've just spent almost an hour looking and not found it so only thing I can do is ask for help please.

I registered for the Gallery yesterday.  I haven't had an email yet, but it did let me login and create an album today.  However it will not let me upload a screenshot.  When I try it tells me there's no album that I have permission to upload to. So do I have to wait for an email to arrive? Or am I doing something wrong? 

If there is a guide somewhere can some kind person add a link to this thread as I was unable to find it?

There is a thread here about the gallery.  You need to make an album using the My profile option on the gallery.  It should say modify/create album.  You can't upload without an album so that's how you make one.

I thought I had made an album, named it gave it a description and such. I can go back in and find this album. So I don't understand why it said I don't have permissions.  I'll go read that link now thanks so much for that.

Don't forget to hit the button that says Apply changes or else the album is not created.

Right I now have an album and can upload images but it isn't saving them.  So when I go continue my album is empty?

What browser are you using?  Sometimes the gallery doesn't like Firefox so try Internet Explorer, Safari or Chrome depending on your system. 

You are waiting for the images to actually load right.  They're appearing at the bottom of the page before you hit continue?

I always use Firefox and I've never had a problem.

I do too but the other day I had an issue where the gallery wouldn't upload anything for a whole day and no one else was having problems so that's why I figure it could just be a glitchy day.

Woohoo!  No idea what I did different but I now have an album with screenshots in it, and I managed to upload two of them to the Pets/My horse ranch thread of MaryMarsh's here:

I've had a lot of problems with the gallery in the past, and I've discovered that the best solution to pretty much everything is to hit ctrl+F5. It will force refresh your page. I use it when it tells me I don't have permission or my uploaded pictures aren't showing--basically every time I have a problem, and it works 90% of the time.
