Dreamweaver Story on the Guide
« on: October 13, 2011, 01:18:32 AM »
Pam and I had discussed an idea of putting stories up on the Guide months ago. Now that she has started a DecaDynasty, after her very successful Immortal Dynasty, we decided it would be a cool time to try featuring it there. It is a simple and easy to navigate way to read a story. This is a concept and I have no idea where it will go. In the future, guide-exclusive stories could be featured. I could even accept submissions from authors of well-written and neatly formatted stories.

We are both very happy to see how this will go. I extend my thanks to Pam for giving it a shot. Since her work is top-notch we can learn a lot about whether we want to feature more stories in the future.

You can see the Dreamweaver DecaDynasty Story here.

Will it just be Pam's story updates on the guide. I could see new people getting frustrated having to read through all the comments. Not that the comments are bad I just think it would look more professional if it were just the story.

I hope I didn't offend anyone.

Edit:Just had a look and it is just the chapters of the story,I probably should have checked it out first.

Great idea! I much prefer reading stories without the comments. Not that I don't appreciate them, but it is a bit distracting for new readers.

Personally, I think this is a fantastic idea. I went for a long time using the guide before I ever decided to check out the forum, and after I read Pam's Immortal Dynasty, I immediately joined. Had I seen her story on the guide, I would have found my way into the forum and joined a long time ago. I even think you should also go ahead and add Pam's Immortal Dynasty, too. ;) It's such a wonderful and moving story and just reading it got me addicted to reading other dynasty stories.

I believe we plan to make that happen. Thanks for the feedback everyone!

I think it's a great idea and will possibly alert people to the fact that this isn't just an informational website (of great quality) but also a great community with great Stories and experiences to match.  :)
