Disappearing Deer?

This isn't like a huge, need-to-know item, but my sim lives next door to Gavin Pinkerton.  I saw a deer trot by and her dog has a wish to socialize with another animal, so I told him to watch the deer in the hopes it would unlock a real interaction.  I watched the deer trot from the hills past her house and up to Gavin's.  The deer trotted right up to the front porch and disappeared.  It was just as if he had entered the house as a sim would.  Anyone seen a deer enter someone's home???

Well, I didn't see the deer go into the home, but, I do know, they just hop along, stop wherever and vanish.  I have seen them go into yards and then vanish too.  I guess that is what they are suppose to do, I guess.  I have moused over the deer and it said, bambi is going home. Not sure where home is, but I guess the deer know, lol.

LOL This deer is a Pinkerton.   

It was just a really odd coincidence that he stopped right there at the front door, I guess.  That or Gavin's re-making The Yearling.
