Gem transmuting question..

I've been trying to transmute soulpeace uncut gems, skull cuts, etc. but they always come out as large versions. I've used all the examples from the guides here but it's always large cuts. Is it possible to get the smaller cuts from transmuting?

The other issue is with tiberium cuts. They just don't seem to stay as the cut i make them into when using the machine. They always turn into Large Spires. Seems kinda of pointless to have cuts available when they don't stay that way. Is there something that needs to be done to them to get them to stay at a different cut?

I know that with Tiberium, if it's in your inventory or on a display table it won't change shape. As for the large cuts, I'm pretty sure that's the only thing you can get from transmuting.

Transfiguring only offers large cuts in my experience. 

I've had tiberiums change change even on the display table but the whole purpose of tiberium is to grow.  What kind of cut are you trying to keep the tiberium as?   I would suggest using transfiguration to make them into a large cut.  Once they are a large cut they won't change into a large spire.  They will just become a large spire from all small cuts.

Shame I can't have a small versions of all the different cuts for each type.
