Progress Report #1Report Date: Week 1, Day 7
Initially we thought there was going to be problems with our new project before they even started as the viewer seemed to lag a bit in regards to our observations. We later found out that news had traveled about the facilities that the Darwins had been chosen and everyone was tapping into our line to get a look at this strange couple. The issue has been fixed but it's easy to understand everyone's curiosity regarding the Darwins ability to actually perform several courtship acts without removing each other's tricornes.
With the addition of a little pheromone in the air conditioning system, our happy couple found themselves unable to resist each other's charms and the plans of Side Project #17449 were underway.
Day 2 ended with the announcement of Preethi's expecting nature. As the mother did not have a particular choice as to what she wanted, we decided to keep her off the fruit diet and let her eat as her little heart desired.
Several hours later in the early morning hours of Day 3, 5:10 AM, the Darwins got an unexpected but well received pair of visitors. We're hoping to keep tabs on these two characters until the child is an adult. It is our hope that they will still be working at such a time to incorporate them into our findings for generation 1. The name of the burglar was Robi Baron and the police officer who handed him his miranda rights was Tina Touch.
Normal operation procedures would be to ensure that the clothing of all maternal victims be setup prior to the announcement of their pregnancies. However, we feel that in an effort to understand this breed of Sim, the pirate, it would be best to stand back and watch as things happen. While this decision could have proven annoying to our observations, Preethi's new maternity wear actually seemed to match with her tricorne and boots quite well.
Another observation made of this new town has also led into new discoveries. The bistro of Barnacle Bay is apparently a drive in facility. The sisters Flora and Fern Annan were taking a chance to eat indoors but refused to leave their vehicle. Luckily, Buzz Malifa and his laptop took no damage.
( I did have to resetSim them several times to get the car unstuck from Flora. She came back to the restaurant twice and the car was moving where her body should have been while her body was stuck in the parking lot!)
In the evening of Day 4, just as the couple was headed to their bedroom. Preethi's water broke and her contractions started earnest.

At 12:04 AM on Day 5, William Darwin was finally brought into this world.

The team had some concerns about this couple's ability to parent. They seemed to get mad at being woken up in the middle of the night. Afterwards a game of "paper, rock, scissors" was played where the loser would have to change the dirty diaper.
Day 7 brought about the first cake day for the heir. The father Lewie-Charlie brought him to the sugared treat and blew out the candle for him. The Darwins invited over several friends from work and about town. We were disappointed to see that only one other member of this party was wearing the strange pirate dress. William aged up into a fine looking toddler with very dark brown eyes, his father's hair and his mother's skin tone. It is now time for the Darwins to teach him his life skills which will be monitored very closely.

I'm currently unable to get into the game because I'm working on some other stuff and don't want to get distracted or else I'd look for you, Chronic. Next time I play - I will let you know.
