error 12 and lags + stopped working?

Hi,
I play Sims 3 for awhile when I add in some of CC my games got bit laggy and most of the time when I save, it will show up the error code 12 and sometimes will stop working.
I remove the sims3.bad file but it still doesn't work. Last time before I add in that CC my games run quite smooth and 90% the game willl save with no problem at all.

Although I add some thing (during summer) in the festival park in Moonlight world
does that cause the problem? Of course the thing I place actually has another thing placed (during fall).

What should I do ?

Hi iimcrystal,

I get error code 12 quite regularly. I have some store content, but no mods or other custom content.
When it happens, I simply play a few minutes further and save again.
There will be a sims3.bad file but also a viable save file I can continue the game with.
I always save one more time after that. It creates a new backup file. 
I only ever had a game crash with error code 16.

Ok, so I always delete the sims3.file bad ( forgotten the name). While saving, it is running usually smooth, but once it start to lag more than usual while trying to save, error 12 will appear.

Error 12 means your memory can't handle that much data to process while saving.

Some of the tips are also to turn off any other program that is running in the background, maybe even get offline if you can, play in window mode, pause the game, use cheat resetsim ** go to Edit Town and try saving there, lower graphical settings and reduce the amoung of CC in your game, as your RAM can't handle it.

I used this solution myself and haven't had a error code 12 sense March. Until then I would usually get the error a couple times a day.

u kwn how sims 3 auto set out graphic after installed
it set everything in high
my sibling played sims 3 WITHOUT MODS
and they said it went smoothly except whn it play in triple speed ( bit minor lags but still ok )
now, i CAREFULLY add bit by bit of mods in to the games
i run bit lag but no error 12
now
after i add in raonjana hairs
then it all begin
it run more laggy
but no error 12
i dont mind lag
as long it not too lag lol
then i wanted add something in the festival ground
just one thing
BOOM
error code happen

nwo i tried many ways to stop the error code 12

but the error 12 is still there ==
i tried

- increase my pc usage ram (3gb to the fullest)
- tried playing it a little further ( waste of my time )
- removed the travelDC.package file ( idk did i name it right lol)
what else is there ? TT
