How to return a sim home?
« on: September 10, 2015, 10:07:39 PM »
I recently noticed that while playing a certain family in Sunset Valley, the father's mother was not in the same neighborhood as him (greyed out at the far right) and when I switched to his father and initiated the "Invite to Visit" action, I caught two university roommate names (Jonathon Dirk and Antwon Thayer) indicating she went to university and yet I see no house with her in it when I go to Edit Town of the university. Dorms are not possible since  that encompasses 8 Sims and it can't be a fraternity or soronity since there's both genders involved.

Any ideas on how to get her back to Sunset Valley? Also, this is the first time I've seen an unplayed Sim enroll in university (always had to manually do that myself).

For what i understand. Save is corrupted and you better load an older save. University is quite a buggy EP.

I don't know if I should be grateful for that since it has brought the "Bring Serving To..." interaction into Sunset Valley, which would not normally be possible. I could make use of that in the Daycare profession.

EDIT: It appears killing her off via "Trigger Age Transition" fixed the corruption, since at that point she'd have likely died of old age anyways.

Sure, fine.
I always go back when something buggy happens because you never know.
You could try to go to uni to be sure nothing more will happen.

Well at least you can play now.
