Goodies from Consignment Store and Bake Sale
« on: July 07, 2010, 10:05:07 PM »
I once found a heart shaped pink diamond at the consignment store. It was around 7,000. I had tons of money, so of course I bought it. Now its a nifty centerpiece for the table. He he... Has anyone else found some neat items there? I heard some of you got time machines. That place is a great way to spend large amounts of cash. Also, how much money have your kids gotten from bake sales? I've only gotten 8 (whoo hoo to little Anna-she's saving up so she can buy herself a nice easel. Parents are rich, but they're not paying for some $300 easel. :P) Is there anyway to get more people to buy stuff? I only had time to make two plates of muffins (blueberry and vanilla, for those picky sims.) I tried making the most popular more expensive to get more money, but only two people bought. What prices are the best money bringers?

You can have the child check the newspaper for the baking forecast and it will tell you which things will be in high demand.  Then you can make sure you have plenty of it and set the price a little higher.  I set my child up in front of the theater on a weekend and she had swarms of people.  I think she made around $50.

I think the most mine made was about the same, around $50.  I put mine in the park.  I think they just run back and forth between the park and the theatre. lol. I know when I took my sim to the park, there must have been three or four kids with their baking tables.  It looked so cute, I had never seen that before.
Is it true that cannibals don't eat clowns because they taste funny?

I love doing bake sales. :) It's better than those lemonade stands. I'll bring her down to the park on sims time Saturday, and the theater at sims time Sunday. I'll make sure to check the news, and this time I'll make heaps of muffins. Last time I only had time to make two plates, as it was five when she got there.

Oh and I also found a bunch of masterpieces at the consignment store for $500. Easy decoration moodlet! AND I got a time machine, a miner, a raw rainbow gem, and a book.

It's back behind the Bistro or Theater, across the street from the Art Museum. Man, I should really know this I play my Dynasty in Twinbrook.

I still seem to have that baking sale bug so no sales for my poor kiddies, just a lonely day at the park.
