What speed is normal for learning Martial Arts Skill?

Since this thread is still active, I'll post a question I have here. I have a sim learning martial arts in Shang Simla. In only about four hours, she's up to level 5. I'm happy she's learning so quick, of course, but I've never had a skill be learned so quickly. The only thing she has that could accelerate skill learning is the Fast Learner lifetime reward, but I doubt that's it. Anyone have an idea?

Is she disciplined as well?  Also the topic is a little off topic so I'm going to split them up.  Since the original topic is about what is hardest not about learning speed.

Oh, okay then. And yes, she also has the disciplined trait (and now, she's nearly level 10). Fast Learner LR + Disciplined trait = maxing a skill in 10 hours?

Does she have athletic skill?  Do you play with needs static or dynamic?  Not part vampire right?

Dynamic needs. Yes, she is a vampire and her athletic skill was 10 (military career). I'm guessing those make a difference?

Vampires - especially at night - will learn a skill about three times faster than your average non vampire.   Because her athletic skill was already high and if she had completed any of the challenges, I could see it happening in 10 hours or so.  You may have gone a little faster but being disciplined and having fast learner plus being a vampire is very powerful learning capabilities.  I think the only way to have made it faster would have been for her to be a teenager and/or a genius!
