Always keep getting Beta version??

so I donwloaded CAW from the official sims 3 website, but it told me it is a beta, I tried looking into other sites, and still beta, so if anybody has the link to the real CAW, please let me know

My version is BETA as well, they all are I think. I guess that EA are still working on it because it isn't perfect and has limited features towards populating the World.

but when I run it, it say's that I have to update, and then it closes

The BETA version is the only version available, so your problem is to do with something else I assume. Perhaps your problem is similar to this thread:? http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/forum/index.php?topic=6672.0

Yeah, CAW is still Beta. The solution in my thread that Anushka posted is harmless, and doesn't involve visiting a mod site. (The other solutions I found involved a site that hosts mod links.)
