Moving into a rich Sims house?
« on: July 25, 2011, 12:21:31 PM »
So I married my Sim to Malcolm Landgrabb and one of my wishes is to "Move in with Malcolm". I want to move into his house rather than moving him into mine, how do I do this?

If they're only engaged and not married, you still can, but you said you married him already. I've had the same wish appear after marriage, and I think it might be a glitch since the two sims are already living together.

Will it work if I divorce him and propose to him again? And what will the option be called, will it be under the Friendly or Romantic socials?

Well, if you divorce him I don't know if he will move back in to his old house. He may move into an entirely different one.But if he does move into the house that you want to move into, it should work. There is a "Move in" option under the Friendly social, but that will make him move in with you. You should able to move in with him through marriage, though. Just make sure you move your sim into his house, not him into your house. I'm not 100% familiar with the console version, but I have played it a bit.

But even though I'm married to him now, he's still not living with me. When I select the 'Move In' option, it only works if I select to move him into my house, not the other way around. I tried moving in my Sim and Malcolm into his old house and swapping Hannelore so she moves into my existing one. But that just kicks my Sim out the game and makes Hannelore the active Sim I control (as she lives in the old house). I also tried moving my Sim and Malcolm into his house, keeping Hannelore living there but I get an error message saying I can't evict all the Sims from the active house.

It seems like it's not letting you change active households. If you can change active households to Malcolm's lot, then it should work. But if there's no option to change the active household then you might be out of luck.

Hmm thanks. But it's impossible to change the active household on Xbox360.
What a shame.
