Edit Foreign Town cheat code?

HELLLLOOO fellow Simmers!! 

SNOW SNOW SNOW! Sorry, I just get so excited! I'm in the DC Metro area, and I woke up this morning to a BLIZZARD!! YAAY!! 10 inches here so far! So, since I'm hunkered in here, figured I'd play! The dog is LOVING it - except he couldn't find a place to well.. ya know.. so he kept running back and forth clearing a path.. ROFL!! It was extremely amusing to watch I must say!

 Anywho - I wanted to edit some things in France, but, the icon is greyed out, and it's telling me I have to enable a cheat code to go into buy/build mode. I give up - what is the code?

Ctrl + Shift + c

Then type "EnableLotLocking on". (It's not case sensitive I think)

Then when you click the map tag for the lot you want to edit, the little lock to the right will now be active. Click it.

Just be a little careful when you're messing around with tombs. I used this cheat once when I'd accidentally put a tent where the Sim couldn't go (inside the walls of a pyramid, doh!). When I went back to live mode the door of the pyramid no longer worked, it just couldn't be opened. I had to go back and delete the entire front of the pyramid so my Sim could get in.

I think it's actually "enablelotlocking true" rather than "on".  At least that's what I've been using.

Both "true" and "on" work. To turn it off it's "enablelotlocking off" or "false".

I know I'm reviving an old topic but recently someone said it was okay. Was this useful cheat added to the guide? And yes, it is very useful sometimes.

Is there a way to save a remodeled base camp to the library so you could reuse it for other "world's vacation hoods? Is that possible?
