Sims cant get mail from mailbox

The mails flag is up, when my sim try to get mail, he gets a gift box then sort of "teleports" inside the garden, no new item in the inventory backpack, I tried the resetsim *, moving on a vacant lot and selling furniture, then move back again, still cant get the mail. good thing they already have the no bills ever reward or the reporman will be having a holiday getting my sims stuff. I tried deleting all 4 cache too.
Does anyone know a fix for this? I'm all out of ideas, thanks in advance

I was able to fix this by deleting the mailbox, saving and reloading. When it reloaded there was a new mailbox that worked. It was in a different spot, so I almost missed it.

Have you tried going to buy mode, use the eyedropper tool, and make a copy of the mailbox?
