Errors galore with today's patch

Hiya All.

Not a nice topic as 1st post but patched today wehn i got home and having real issues, "QtCore4.dll" not found.
It's on attempt 4 currently, will advise if it finally installs.

Any one else had/solved their issues?

EDIT: Fixed, no idea what the errors were but the patch finally installed. No re-install was necessary

I have been having problems installing the new patch as well, my game is now loading finally but the patch gets to 99% and gets stuck. keep trying I guess! I am thinking maybe it has something to do with the fact I don't have the new SP?

We don't have enough information yet to give any answers.  I'm sure everyone will post as they learn.

Kat, if you're using Windows 7, look at your bottom toolbar and see if the Windows Defender icon is down there asking you for permission to install. I recently got a new laptop that has Windows 7 and when I patched my game last night, the same thing happened to me. It appeared to stop at 99%, but then I realized that I needed to give it permission to make changes to my computer.

I've had no problems at all with the new patch. My game is running smooth as silk. <knocks on wood>

Thanks Rockin Robin, but no I am on Vista (got my computer 1 month before 7 came out, argh!)

I seem to have frequent lag since installing the patch, but otherwise everything's fine.

I think I'm going to first wipe Sims 3 from my computer and reinstall all of it from scratch.  Then install the patch on top of that.
