Is there anyway  I can save  Sunset Valley? I added a few things that I'll like to keep but I can't figure out how to save the town.

The only real way I know of to save a town like that is by saving the game and using that file as a master file for playing in that neighborhood (like Naga did with his Sunset Valley).  When you wanted to play in that neighborhood, you would load that game and save it as something else after you started playing.

Use the "save as" option and rename the town so you know it is the one with the items you want.  Then you just select that town when you want to play it.  It will show up in the main menu with the new name.  You can also go into your files, Electronic Arts/Sims3 files, select saves and open, select a copy option for the file.  Move this copied file to a folder on your desktop and you'll always have it.  When you want to play it you just move it back to the Saves folder in the Sims3 files.  My desktop folder has a ton of different towns that I remodel in it but that keeps it from overloading my main Sims3 files.
What?  Grannies can't play games?
