How to save and download from/to the Swap Shop.
« on: July 22, 2011, 07:39:54 PM »
So I have a pretty good idea on how to upload my Sims' to the Swap Shop since in Additional Options says
Attach----
Allowed file types: gif, jpg, jpeg, bmp, png, sims3pack, mp3, mp4.
But my question is where do I get the Sims I want to upload from. Does that make sense? Is it from the file named SavedSims and I just click on the name I named that Sim? No that's not right.. Please someone explain!

The second one is when I download the Sim I wish to, where do I put it? In what folder?
I would appreciatte any replies.

Directly above this topic is a sticky topic with specific instructions on how to upload to the Swap Shop.  I believe your question is addressed there.  Part of the title of the topic is "READ THIS FIRST."

I have read it like 4 times, it says;
Quote
To Share an item on this board, follow these steps: Zipped files will not work

1. For Lots: Go to Edit Town, click on the lot you want to send, and click on "Share" at the bottom of the window that pops up.  Fill out the name and description and save.
2. For Items: After either creating the style and/or saving it, click on the Share button located in the window in the upper left corner. Fill out the name and description and save.
4. Make your post using images you uploaded to the gallery or other image hosting service, and link them in your post.
5. Click Additional Options at the bottom of the post and click attach. Browse to Documents/Electronic Arts/Sims 3/Exports and attach the .Sims3Pack file you're sharing. It will take some time to upload.

Does that apply to Sims, because it says To Share an item?  Am not exaclty what you call computer savvy, so tech talk goes in and then right out.

Yes, your Sim should show up in the same place as any other item you want to upload, as long as you save it to the bin properly while in CAS.
