Blacksmith stalling on quest

I have the Sims Medieval pc game and with both kingdoms the blacksmith gets almost to an end of a quest and suddenly stops forging and just stands there.  The game simple stalls and if I go out of the game and come back it's the same.  Or if I don't save and start the quest again, then the same thing happens.  Arrrghh.  Is this a bug?

Welcome to the forum, Gael.  I moved your topic to the Sims Medieval Forum. 

You didn't mention what quest your blacksmith was on - was it the same quest both times, or different ones?  I haven't had this particular problem but I did have a knight character that seemed to be bugged - the screen would go completely black when I played him.  I got rid of that character, made a new knight, and haven't had the problem again.  Who knows why some of these things happen!

It's happened with new blacksmiths as well but the same quest. I've tried the ctrl+shift+c resetsim 1st name lastname and game reply is 'do not recognize 'resetsim'.  So, it must be a bug.  Actually, I find a lot of bugs in this game.  But, otherwise the game is fun.

and, did you activate testingcheats in the game file? You need testing cheats enabled to use some cheats.

I've tried to method used to 'reset sim' but apparently that just works if you have Sims3.  I have my simsmedieval on a disc and otherwise have sims 2 installed. 
I've gone in and out of the game and other quests, but when I come back I can play other heroes, just not my blacksmith. He is frozen at the forge!

Gael, I doubt if having Sims 3 installed would make any difference to Sims Medieval.  They are two separate games and the code does not cross over.  If you can't reset the sim, it must be because you have not turned on the testing cheats.  You have to do this outside the game to get all the commands.  Have a look in Carl's Guide here to find out how to do it.
