Sim losing star quality

My sim married Agnes Crumplebottom and while married they both reached level 5 celebrity. After a while they had a falling out and got a divorce and she moved back into her old house.
A few weeks later I ran into Agnes in the park and she was a 4 star celebrity and now I just ran into her a again and she's down to a 3 star celebrity.
This is the first time I've notice a sim losing star quality and was wondering if anyone else has noticed this happening before.

I think this happened because when you marry a sims with a high celebrity level, you gain celebrity points but when you divorced Agnes she lost the points she got from being married to you, a 5 star celebrity.

I hadn't thought of that. That would explain why she's the only one I've noticed losing star quality.
