Issue with posting on the forum

I PM'd Carl about this, and he told me it's probably a browser issue.
Recently I ran into an issue. When trying to post in a thread, I could not see the Post, Preview and SpellCheck buttons.
Naturally this caused concern for me. I tried in another thread and still no dice. At this point I immediately talked to Carl to see if there was any issue with the forum preventing me from posting. Nothing. He even checked my permissions. Still nothing. He tried posting himself. He could.
I'm worried - I can post sometimes, but not others. I was previewing my latest dynasty update - the buttons vanished. I copied and pasted the update and tried again - I could post.
Is this just me? Should I get a new browser (I'm on IE8)?

Note: I just previewed. The buttons are there. I'm so sorry if this should be on a different board.

When the issue hits, no. It opens a menu on IE8.

EDIT: I've had enough. Until I can find the root of all of my browser problems, I'm out. For now, bye everybody.

EDIT: Yay! Something finally went right! I hope that that's the end of this. I really am stressed.
EDIT 2: I think I've got the root.
For anyone who has this problem, leave your computer, have a cup of tea, play Scrabble, watch NCIS, whatever, just go away from the forum for a bit. I think the root is that the browser is still loading when you try to post.
