Celebrity vs. Recording Home Videos

I've setup a wedding party for two of my sims and it was the meaning that her dad would film the wedding.
One thing I've noticed about this: a five star celebrity gets mostly interupted with questions about signing autographs before he got 10 seconds of shots. Therefore, he was more busy with his own reputation than with his daughter's wedding day.
'Dad, you've promised to give me away today!'     'Not now honey, I've just been asked for another autograph. You're wedding can wait, it's not THAT special.'

Conclusion: celebrities and recording home videos don't go hand in hand.

I've learned that the hard way. I think it can be fixed if you don't invite any not-celebrity sims to the wedding. Also, watch out for the papparazzi!

Papparazzi doesn't come farther than the gate. So that wouldn't be a problem.
But the people who get invited doesn't matter if they are celebrity or not, they want to and will ask my camera man for a signature, wherever he is 'working' or not.

With my celebrities, I keep an eye on the upper corner and cancel the "ask for photo or autograph" before my sim stops what they're doing.

That's a good thing, but once your sim is filming you can not stop the 'be asked for photo or autograph' anymore. Your sim will simply stop filming.

I don't know when it started but it was really annoying me in my careers challenge, I'd send a sim off to the library to study and when I came back to check on them they hadn't done anything because someone had asked for their autograph. I'm sure originally they didn't drop everything to sign autographs.

Well, yes, they always drop everything to sign an autograph. At least it has always been like that for me.

It's not entirely on topic but I don't exactly recognize my sims in this. Reading books is the only exeption sims won't stop to sign autographs in my game. I don't know why exactly otherwise I could give some advice.
