How do you get your teen sims to graduate because I had a teen sim not graduate because she aged up on a Saturday in game?

From the lesson section in game:

"When a Sim graduates, they will spin into their cap and gown and attend the graduation ceremony at City Hall with their family members."

Did your Sim not do that?

There was no opportunity to attend a graduation ceremony at City Hall so she did not have a high school diploma in her inventory.

Same with mine, No Opp, I wonder if having the Opp to go to collect an Award for being in the Clubs affected that though.

I had it happen to one of my five kids.  The first child was in scouts as a child and nothing as a teen and didn't go to a grad.  my second was in no activities and was called to grad, and her entire family was forced to go (they all got an automatic call and dropped what they were doing)  the last three (triplets) two had after school activities, third didn't and none got called to grad.  Only thing different was they day they grew up on (though it shouldn't really matter) and the one who went to grad grew up on a Friday, grad was on a Saturday.  the others grew up mid week.

Don't know if it helps, there was no opportunity, it just happened and the whole family went.

:)

@jen2912 - I got the improve your grades message with some of them, but not all, which is weird cause they were on the honour roll.  Now that you mention it I can't remember if they were a young adult or last days of teenager when they went to city hall for graduation.  I want to say young adult.... but honesty I cant remember.  Sorry, not much help.

:)

I hope this helps. My teen sim aged up on a weekday. I recieved a message on the next saturday or sunday that he was expected to attend graduation even though he had been a young adult for a few days. I don't know if after school activities make adifference but he went to debate club and study club.
