Books and bookcases

I've been building a luxury house for some time now, and it's almost done. But the nursery still lack one thing: Books in the bookcase. I want to put all the toddler books in it, except the Jimmy Sprockets, but have no idea how to do that. The nursery already has everything else a toddler or child can play with, as well as crib, bed, and potty chair.

You do that from live mode, by purchasing the books from the bookstore and dragging them from a Sim's inventory onto the bookcase.

I think I was unclear. Is there a way to stock a bookshelf before you've started playing a neighbourhood?

There is not.  However, if the be all end all is placing them before you start playing a specific neighborhood... I suppose you could:

- Save game
- Save lot to bin
- Create new game
- Place lot
- Begin playing
- Purchase and place the books
- Save the lot
- Place the lot in your original game

And it'll be there at, so to say, "base game."
