Can't teach teen Sim to drive

Whenever one of the adults in my household tries to teach the teen sim to drive, the adult goes out in the car, but the teen just stands there at home, and doesn't learn to drive. I've tried both adults, and having the teen ask as opposed to the adult initiate the interaction--it happens the same way every time. Is this a new bug, am I doing something wrong, or is it just my game that's bugged? I did manage to get my teen one level of driving experience before this started happening, if that matters...

Are any of them tired or hungry? I always have to get both sims in a good mood before they can learn driving.

Now that you mention it, it's possible they were tired. I'll try again.
