Fishing and Bait.

Now I just need to ask this once and for all:

Is it really true that your sim can't learn the bait for Jellyfish and Red Herring from any books or did I miss something obvious? I'm quite sure I've tried all of them now.

And if so are there other "secret" fish that I just haven't found yet?

There aren't any other secret fish. If those types aren't in skill books then yes it's impossible unless the Sim picks it up via watching the fishing channel or happens to use the correct bait while catching one. Those two fish types are not that important to the "food chain" I think. Nothing you'll need requires Jellyfish.

Hot Dogs catch Red Herring which are the perfect bait for Shark. Jellyfish are a poor quality fish and not worth the time. Catch 1 to complete the fishing challenge and move on.

Shark are great but not that useful in terms of money vs time spent catching them. Better to roll for vampire fish or robot fish.

Thanks for all the info Carl. I've got a self employed sim and I want him to max fishing and gardening and make lots of dough.

I just thought it was weird that it was just those two fish I couldn't read about. I mean Red Herring I understand (joke! ) but jellyfish? Is it because it's not an actual fish? These game designers are weird...
