The Bugs in World Adventures (And I don't mean insects) - are they triggered?

I'd like to take a family travelling, except they're my dynasty family.
Are there any particular triggers for the travelling bugs? (I know to stay away from Sekhmet Hawas. ) I'm just protective of my little simmies.

I don't think they are triggered, except maybe for the time we thought that taking a single Sim traveling would cause the bug that gained her an unwanted husband or child.  It seems to be random when it crashes your game.  To be on the safe side, save your game before your family leaves for the trip.  If it gets bugged, you can let Metro know on the Dynasty thread and he'll let you start back from the previous save file.
