Making Your Own Spouse?
« on: May 17, 2011, 04:49:12 AM »
Hello. I don't really know if this should be posted in the thread for legacy stories but as it's not an actual story I have posted it here.

I am re-starting my legacy, but making a lot of changes on try two. I was thinking of creating my own sim to make as my main characters husband, but put him in another house (make him via edit town, so he doesn't know my sim yet). Is this allowed for the legacies, or do I have to let my sim find someone on her own? Thanks. :)

As part of the legacy rules written by Pinstar on the official Sims 3 site, no, you are not allowed to make your own spouse.  However, if you choose not to go by the rules, you can do whatever you want.  There's no Hall of Fame or anything similar to worry about like there is with our Dynasty Challenge.

If you are strictly following Pinstar's Legacy rules, then no, creating a husband in CAS and placing him into the town is not allowed. But, due to the absence of a leaderboard or hall of fame for the Legacy Challenge, players do what they want with their games. Some people (including here) create their spouses in CAS, and still call their game a Legacy. It is okay, as far as you call it a Legacy. ;D

EDIT: Pam and I posted at the same time. Oops.
