Quest make a meat stew

Just what do I have to do to complete this quest? As you can tell I'm getting a bit frustrated with this. I've made three stews so far and none of them seem to work. I even made a hunter's stew and no luck. Anyone got any ideas?

Havent seen/done the quest myself, so Im wondering what hero class are you using to do it? Maybe you have the option to hunt for meat in the forest, or maybe you have the right meat already, but lacking the other ingredients. Try to see if there is a recipe for that particular stew when you open up the cooking menu.

Tried that Twinspirit. Still no joy, it's the monarch doing it, it's part of the quest to tidy up the keep.

By the thumbanail of your Monarch can you see the Picture of what you have to do? If you hover over that it should give you a clue?

I did that samoht that's why I made the hunter's stew, I am at a complete loss

I googled it and it said you had to make a large venison stew and then 'grab a bowl'.  I haven't done this one myself mind you, so I can't vouch for the solution but you could try that.

If you let your cursor lie over the quest thumbnail, it should give you a few suggestions of what type of meat stew to make. Then, you can make whatever it says there and then eat it. If it's the quest that says eat several meat stews, then you have to repeat that several times. If it gives you a specific recipe, you have to figure out that recipe (just act like you're cooking a meal and scroll down to what recipe it is to make sure you have the right ingredients).

I had to quit this quest. NO matter what large meat stew I made and ate it wouldn't clear. I had this as part of the Royal Review quest.

You probably had a stuck quest task.  If you read that someone else did something and it cleared (like chrissie) that means it is supposed to clear when you do that, so the fact that yours didn't indicated a glitch.  Best to save and shut down, then when you start up again usually the task will clear as it's meant to.
