Aha, so I get it like this: I must add either walls or columns to create a balcony, but after creating I can either remove or keep them. Right?

That's 100% correct :D

Some Examples:-

Wall Support in the Shape of a Right Angle |_

Columns

No Support (Deleted Wall/Colums)

L Shape Balcony with no Supports:-

You can only go 2 Squares from a Support I think, so sometimes there will be an area you can't place a floor tile, just put a Column under it, place the tile and delete the column.

Thank you Thomas! Yep, that wall is absolutely flat. The second balcony you showed is just the one I need. Thanks much! :D

@Chronic:  Just one more thing and you're probably set to go.  I would use the column method on your house.  Place a column on the deck so that it's near the upstairs window.  Use as many as you need in order to make your L-shaped balcony, then delete the columns when it's finished.

Thank you Pam. I'll do it just like that.
