I have a bug in my game

Ok my sim has reached his career track and I want him to change jobs, so I had him quit his job, but under the employment tab it still says he is a chef. I have tried getting a new job and same thing. I saved and then closed out and opened the game back up and tried to get another job, same thing. Tried to quit and same thing. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried changing his career through cheats? It's simple - type "testingcheatsenabled true" (without the quotation marks), then Shift + Click on the mailbox, you should see an option "Set Career". Find the desired career and accept the pop-up. Hope that helps. If it doesn't, try resetting your Sim (type in "resetsim [first name] [last name]" in the cheat box and press Enter).

Is your sim functioning normally otherwise?  The only thing I can think of is resetSim, although I don't know if that would even help at all if the only issue is that he can't change careers.  The other thing you may want to do if no one has any ideas on this board is to check the official TS3 board and see if anyone else has had the same problem.

none of those worked. I'm going to try and get him fired. Maybe that will work. Thanks for the help.

Hmm, that's weird. If that doesn't help either, than your Sim may be bugged, unfortunately.
