Stuck in Tomb of the First Emperor

I don't know how I get stuck all the time but I do. I really don't want to just use the phone to return home but I don't know what else to do so I was hoping that someone could tell me what I am supposed to do. I am stuck in this one square. Here it the screenshot:

I have tried to tell her to use the stairs but she says the traps are blocking the way so can't attempt to cross as it says they are impossible and will not let me. I can't disarm them every time I try it says there is no way I will be able to disarm them. I can't move anywhere. She has inspected that hole like 4 times and it just makes the darts go again so I am at a lost here. Anybody know how to get past this?

How did she get there without getting caught in a trap?

She walked where the stairs are now. They were not there then. This is the second time I have had a Sim stuck that noone seemed to have happen to them. Anyways I just made her return home which stinks but I didn't know what else to do and at that point she was to tired to do anything. She wouldn't inspect the hole anymore or anything and instead of passing out she just stood there the whole time. Even got the Zzz thing but didn't pass out. I don't know why. I figured I was at a loss either way so better to just go home then waste any more time there trying to figure it out. She is my Wishmaster Sim so I couldn't use cheats. And she doesn't know any Martial Arts so she can't meditate.

I think I've been at that same spot, and I couldn't figure out what to do, either.  I wonder if the Sands of Understanding that you can buy from the Special Merchant would help figure it out.  Escape Dust would have worked to at least get you out of there.  Just some thoughts to consider for next time.

Thanks. I wish I had some at the time or at least another Sim with me that could have gotten some for her. Hopefully I will not have to go to that hole again to get the stairs to show. I would think they would be there from the beginning next time.

Yes I also was stuck there and escape dust saved my behind.  I have started a new explorer and will try the sands of understanding to see if that helps any.  I have spent some time there trying to figure it out as well.  If I learn anything I will post it.

I had this problem and finally found a way to get "unstuck"... The tomb is poorly designed and, unfortunately, if you don't have Escape Dust (or whatever it's called lol), you will probably stay stuck.

Good news is there is a cheat that you can use to get unstuck (I know it sucks to use a cheat in a tomb, but I haven't found any other way).

If you find yourself stuck behind the stairs after you activate the switch on the wall follow these steps:
-Bring up the cheat box (Ctrl+Shift+C) and type in testingCheatsEnabled true
-Hold down shift and click on a random tile, then hit the option "Build on this Lot" (for some the option "Teleport" will come up, but that was not the case for me. If "Teleport" comes up then use this instead.).
- It should let you go into buy mode in the tomb. Click on the Dart Trap to the left of the stuck sim. Delete the Dart Trap


I hope this helps for those who are trying to find out how to get past this frustrating problem. I hate to delete a trap in a tomb, but it was either that or go back home when I have 5 days left on my trip.

One of my sims was stuck at the exact same place too. But I can tell you that meditating and then teleporting doesn't help. My sim just gave me the notice that he simply couldn't sit down to meditate so I had another sim letting the tomb explore. After that I was going back home. And I haven't solved this problem. The next time this sims got stuck the same way (I had saved before). All you can do is not exploring that corner of the tomb. Or teleporting to the surface beneath..
