Joshua Dabney is jealous of his wifes success

Greetings all.  I've been visiting Carl & Pam's Sims site for a few months but this is my first venture into the forums.

My Sims, Joshua and Cecilia Dabney are very happy together.  Well, at least Josh was.  It seems he's starting to feel a twinge of jealousy over Cecelia's success.  You see, they met in art class.  Both were painters.  They fell in love, got married and bought a small house together to make the world a more artistic place...and a few simoleons.

The problems started early in the relationship.  While both are at the same skill level it seems that Cecelia is the more proficient moneymaker of the two.  Admittedly I cannot figure it out for the life of me.

I'm not sure if I entered everything necessary to make a determination, but I'm very curious as to why Cecelia is making 3,281 Simoleons more than Josh.  If I cannot figure it out the two (who are so cute together, by the way) may end up splitting up as she moves farther out of his league.

That is weird given your data. Joshua's additional Brilliants should offset the 1 Masterpiece he has not made yet that Cecelia has. Does Cecelia has the Extra Creative Reward? Is Joshua selling any of the paintings at the consignment store? I see he has the Born Salesman trait and if some of Cecelia's paintings sold there, that would definitely account for the difference.

My apologies, I completely forgot about the rewards.

Joshua has the Suave Seller reward.  He takes all the paintings and sells them at the Consignment store.
Cecelia has the No Bills reward.

(They're a fairly new couple so haven't gotten a lot of lifetime points yet.)

Oh, and I do not know if it matters, but all paintings have been the same sizes.

Are you sure that your data is correct? I agree with you, if the data is right than it doesn't make sense. The only reason I am doubting your data is that Joshua's brilliant painting is worth more than Cecilia's masterpiece. This shouldn't be the case, I think, if they are both painting the same size.

It can happen.  There's a lot of randomness in the value of paintings, and a really valuable Brilliant painting can easily be worth more than an average or low value Masterpiece.

It's a painting skill opportunity that is supposed to increase the value of all future paintings.

Don't forget, as female painters always say, size matters: if Cecelia painted large brilliant and masterpiece paintings, and Josh painted small ones, she would earn more money?
