Will my saves still be usable when I delete Fastlane add-on?

I play Sims 3 on 2 computers: 1 with Vista which has all the bigger add-ons (Nightlife, WA, Ambitions etc.) and Fastlane Stuff and the other one with Win XP which as all bigger add-ons and doesn't have Fastlane (this is my old PC in my parent's house which I play with when I visit).
I use the same saves on both computers but recently I've added Fastlane to the Vista one and would like to copy my saves to the Win XP computer. Will it be possible? Won't Fastlane Stuff interfere? I'd like to kick Fastlane out of my Vista computer because this add-on is a waste of disc space - will it mess up my S3 saves on the Vista computer? I'm hoping for a fast answer

I don't think so. When you uninstall an Expansion the content and features from it become unavailable and the game replaces it with something else similar.

So to be clear - I can safely uninstall Fastlane and won't have to worry about saves?

As long as the saves don't have anything from Fast Lane used in them they should be fine. My sister was playing on my computer which has every expansion up to LN on it, then she transferred her saved files to her laptop which only has through Ambitions on it and the hairstyle she had chosen was replaced by another one. Confusing at first, but once we figured it out, it was fine.

All that will happen is that if you have FLS items in a house, when you first load the save you'll get a message stating that some items could not be found.  The game will attempt to replace these items with similar items, and if it can't find a similar replacement, those items will simply be gone.  If you save the game after you do this, you won't get the message again as all of the items have already been replaced or removed.
