Is there a way to make sure the Blacksmith never fails at making the Doomsword?

I wanna know because they only way you can get the blade and hilt is the Pit Of Judgment. ;D

I didn't think he could fail. Always keep him in a good mood, and use the angel's hammer, which gives you greater number of mistakes you can make before the quality drops. Of course, if you are worried, save your game right before he crafts it. You can always reload then :)
